Smart TV Setup Helper
Get your smart TV connected, set up, and streaming. One step at a time — you do not need to do everything at once.
Smart TVs have a lot of features, and setup can feel overwhelming. Take it one step at a time — you do not need to set up everything at once.
Check Power and Remote Batteries
Make sure the TV is plugged in. If it will not turn on, check the outlet. Replace remote batteries if the remote is not responding.
Pair Remote If Needed
Some smart TVs require you to pair the remote. Check your TV manual for pairing instructions — it usually involves holding a button for a few seconds.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi on your TV. Select your Wi-Fi network name and enter the password. You will need your Wi-Fi password ready.
Choose Correct HDMI Input
If you have a streaming stick or cable box, press the Input or Source button on your remote and select the correct HDMI port.
Sign In to Streaming Apps
Open apps like Netflix, YouTube, or Hulu and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in. Some apps ask you to visit a website on your phone to enter a code.
Voice Remote / Assistant Setup
If your remote has a microphone button, you may need to set up a voice assistant like Alexa or Google Assistant. Follow the on-screen prompts. This step is optional.
Safety & Privacy Warning
Do not share login codes, TV activation codes, passwords, or payment details with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly. Legitimate services will never ask for this information through phone calls, texts, or pop-ups on your TV.
