How Topic Requests Work

A clear, honest explanation of what happens when you suggest a guide topic.

1

Tell us what you needed

You fill out a short form describing what you came looking for, what category it fits, and what kind of help would be most useful. You can also tell us who else might benefit from that kind of guide.

2

We review suggestions

Requests are reviewed for usefulness, safety, clarity, and fit with the platform's mission. We look at whether a topic can be explained clearly and honestly without replacing professional expertise.

3

We prioritize common needs

Topics that would help many people may become guides, calculators, or printable checklists. We focus on everyday practical needs — not advanced or niche topics that require professional licensing.

4

We build carefully

New guides should be beginner-friendly, safety-minded, and honest about limits. Every new page goes through the same review process: clear language, proper safety reminders, and professional escalation guidance.

What we do not do

  • •We do not provide emergency help through this form
  • •We do not ask for passwords or private codes
  • •We do not publish private details submitted in requests
  • •We do not promise every request will be built
  • •We do not replace qualified professionals
  • •We do not guarantee timelines for new content
  • •We do not publish contact information from requests

Why we ask for suggestions

Ask Uncle G is built around real people with real needs — not guesses about what might be useful. When someone comes looking for help we do not have yet, we want to hear about it.

The most useful guides are the ones that fill a real gap. If you ran into a confusing situation, there is a good chance someone else has too. Your suggestion matters.
